Profile / Experience

Louise joined Lanyon Bowdler in December 2023 as a legal assistant in the Private Client Department assisting Edward Rees with all aspects of private client matters, but specifically specialising in trusts.

Louise has worked within a law environment since 2009, starting off as an office assistant, then a receptionist. She has also worked as a legal secretary in family, commercial litigation and criminal law. Louise was then promoted to family costs draftsman, completing costings for the care legal aid files. After that, she was a legal assistant in the Commercial Litigation Department and was first point of call for all non-disputed debt collection work.

As a legal assistant, Louise also assisted fee earners with all areas of commercial litigation including disputed debt collection, landlord and tenant, contract and boundary disputes. She was a legal assistant for around five years. After taking a short break after having her son, she then joined another firm in the COP department, assisting lawyers.

Louise is also working towards her CILEX qualification, studying the CPQ Foundation course.

In her spare time Louise enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, renovating her house and being outdoors. She has also taken up pickle ball.
