David has been working in the Private Client Team since 2013 and handles all types of work including the administration of estates.

He graduated from the University of Ulster with a 2.1 in 2008 and completed the LPC at the College of Law, Chester in 2009.

David joined Lanyon Bowdler in March 2012 as a legal assistant prior to commencing his training contract with the firm in September 2012. He qualified in 2014 and is now a partner in our Private Client Team based at the Shrewsbury office.

David has been recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in the 2024 edition of The Legal 500. The 2023 edition states: ‘David Pugh has a broad range of experience’.

David is a keen rugby player and athlete and has competed for Ulster/Ulster Schools and Northern Ireland Under 23s at the 100 metres. He is also a qualified Level 1 assistant athletics coach with UK Athletics.
