Ex Cathedra

Once again Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors were proud to have been the main sponsors of Ex Cathedra, Christmas Music by Candlelight, which recently took place at St Chad’s Church, forming part of Shropshire Music Trust’s 25th Season.

Ex Cathedra has established an international reputation as a leading UK choir and Early Music ensemble. It is known for its vibrant performances and passion for seeking out not only the best but the unfamiliar and the unexpected in the choral repertoire. This performance was no exception and in a beautifully candlelit setting the stream of music moved seamlessly from traditional favourites to rare and rediscovered repertoire. This music was interspersed with a selection of readings and this created an amazing atmosphere which was enjoyed by all.

Partner Brian Evans says “The performance was superb. It was a pleasure to be associated with such high-calibre music-making.”
