Disputes.

Schools & Education Dispute Resolution Solicitors.

At Lanyon Bowdler, we recognise that schools and colleges have limited budgets and have to utilise their resources carefully.

When commercial disputes arise we work closely with you from the outset, to assess the likely outcome of your case, the likely timescale to resolution, and the cost, so you can decide whether the potential benefit justifies the time and money involved.

We take time to find out what is important to you and what you want to achieve. We then use our experience to devise a strategy to help you achieve it, giving you peace of mind that your best interests are being looked after.

We do not see ‘winning at trial’ as our goal – our aim is always to get the right result as quickly and cost effectively as possible. Our expertise in evaluating legal problems and our negotiation skills usually mean that your case will be resolved well before a trial, and often without starting court proceedings at all.

Education Mediation and Conflict Resolution for Schools and Academies

We make good use of mediation and other dispute resolution techniques, such as adjudication and arbitration, as well as simply talking to your opponent and negotiating. But if the case does need to go to trial, we fight hard to win and have a good track record in the County Court, the High Court and the Court of Appeal. If that’s the case, you know you’re in safe hands with Lanyon Bowdler.

We have experience in dealing with complaints by parents, particularly with regard to safeguarding, bullying and data protection issues.

In the private sector, we have experience of dealing with the collection of overdue fees for nurseries and schools, and do so sensitively, recognising the need to balance the economic issues with the welfare of the child and the relationship between the educational institution and the parents.

We ensure that the costs for our services are transparent and, where possible, we offer pricing choices to meet your individual requirements. We can provide services on a fixed fee basis or on a monthly retainer, tailored to your needs and your budget.
